Last week, our Account Director Sumit Poddar visited our valued customer, the Ministry of Commerce, Industries, Labour and Immigration (MCILI) in Honiara, Solomon Islands. Visits like this give us a clearer picture of how the registers are working day to day. Seeing how the systems perform in daily operations and having open conversations about what is working and what could be better keeps the partnership practical and focused.
The Registry of Companies operates as a division within MCILI and plays a vital role on behalf of the Government of the Solomon Islands. The Division is responsible for the registration of businesses, companies, secured transactions, and charitable organisations. The work carried out by the Registrar of Companies and her team enables private sector confidence and contributes directly to the country's growth.
One of the most encouraging aspects of the visit was the feedback received from the MCILI team. The response to the registry solution provided by Foster Moore was overwhelmingly positive, particularly in terms of functionality and ease of use. The system was described as intuitive, with the team noting that even users with minimal computer experience are able to navigate the platform successfully with very little guidance. This kind of feedback reinforces our belief that registry technology should remove barriers, not create them. Accessibility, simplicity, and reliability are fundamental to delivering meaningful public value.
Beyond the technology itself, the visit reaffirmed the strength of the relationship between MCILI and Foster Moore. The registry operations team expressed genuine appreciation for the value the registers bring to their day-to-day operations. That acknowledgement reflects the collaborative spirit that defines successful registry modernisation projects.

We are proud to support MCILI in their mission to serve the people and businesses of the Solomon Islands. Their professionalism, dedication, and commitment are inspiring. Visits like this remind us that registry transformation is not just about platforms and processes. It is about people, partnerships, and shared ambition.
We would like to sincerely thank the team at the Ministry of Commerce, Industries, Labour and Immigration for their warm welcome and the openness with which they shared their insights.
