United States Virgin Islands Project Well Underway

Foster Moore staff are busy on the project to deliver new Business Entity, Uniform Commercial Code Liens and Trademarks Registries for the Corporations and Trademarks Division of the Office of Lieutenant Governor, Government of the United States Virgin Islands.

The Office of the Lieutenant Governor of the Virgin Islands was in need of an online system that accommodates Business Entities, Trademarks and Uniform Commercial Code filings. The scope of work document, entitled the computerization of corporations and trademarks divisions, was put to bid in August 2015. The project includes data migration from an “SOSKB” application and scanning and indexing conversion of all active hard copy records (business entity, trademarks and UCC) to a new database that allows for customer accessibility.

Foster Moore US responded to an RFP to modernize the registry system in US Virgin Islands (Business Entities, Trademarks and UCC).

This was an opportunity Foster Moore US pursued for over a year and was largely based upon the success of our Puerto Rico application solution. Based on the similarity of legislation in the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, Foster Moore responding to the RFP and presented the all-encompassing solution, Catalyst, as the registry solution. Foster Moore US was selected as the preferred vendor to contract negotiations in October 2015 and a contract for services was executed in March 2016. The first modules will be delivered in late 2017.
