Brunei goes live with a Catalyst-powered Companies & Business Names Registry

Written by Foster Moore | 28 July 2015

The Registry of Companies and Business Names  (a division of the Ministry of Finance) of Brunei Darussalam has launched their new Catalyst powered registry of Companies and Business Names.

Foster Moore are delighted to have partnered with BAG Networks Sdn Bhd to deliver our Catalyst solution to the Ministry of Finance.

Using our Catalyst Adoption Methodology (CAM) we were able to deliver the project in two defined phases.

Phase 1 was started in November 2014 and delivered in a record 5 weeks on 20th December 2014.

This first phase introduced a suite of business services which enabled customers to perform basic registry functions. Including reserving a company name, extending a company name reservation, incorporation of companies both local and foreign, searching and viewing companies and searching and viewing reserved names.

Phase 2 commenced in January and was delivered on 24 July 2015. It included the implementation of all of the remaining business services required to support the full “birth-life-cease” life cycle for company entities, along with the implementation of a register of Business Names.

Brunei Darussalam now has one of the most modern business registry systems in the region. Reforms of the companies legislation and the deployment of this world class registry system make Brunei an even more attractive place to do business.
