Registries can do many things to have more trusted data, which can play a more significant and critical role in addressing the misuse of the corporate form. This can include matching data against other sources, requiring review and updates from registered parties, and acting against those committing lodgement-related offenses.
A very fundamental component of registers is the identification of people and entities on the registers. This is a good place for early focus when considering data quality and modernising registers.
